Assembly
Well, I can’t say our first live assembly was a roaring success, especially if you were in the P1-3 assembly, but it did entertain and amuse us all. We have spent the week honing our skills and will be back on Monday with our second attempt. The theme next week will be Robert Burns so wearing tartan is encouraged.

Remote Learning
Thank you to everyone who completed the survey sent out this week, the feedback we have been receiving is overwhelmingly positive and reflects all the hard work the staff have done over the last few months. We are keen to improve our practice and will take all suggestions into account. A few quick changes/ answers can be seen below:
We realise that this is a difficult time for our families and that we are all in survival mode. Please don’t feel pressure to complete all of the tasks, just do what works for your family.
We will be making further adaptions soon and will keep you updated.

Live Calls
We hope that you are all well (and maybe enjoyed a snow day or two this week).
We would like to remind all families of our online learning guidance sway (please see the link below) and in particular the section on live calls. Live calls must not be recorded and/or shared in any way. For privacy and child protection reasons we can only offer these live sessions if families all follow the responsible use guidelines and are respecting the privacy of all on the call by not recording them.

The purpose of the calls is for pupils to have contact with their class teacher and peers, supporting their social and emotional health. If you have any questions about home learning as a parent, please email the school and your questions will be directed to someone who can offer support or guidance.

MEGA Fund
We have a new application for Fuel Top-up vouchers called the MEGA Fund which is “More Electricity & Gas Assistance”. If you refer in for your client for a fuel top-up voucher you will receive an automated email confirming it has been received and allocates a unique reference number.
You will then receive a second email which has a copy of your completed application. The new MEGA Fund application allows us to award up to 3 vouchers over a 3 month period. – we won’t could any previous application made. The amounts will be £28 single & £49 couple/family or more than one person in the household
On the application that the referring agent fills in we ask how the client wishes to receive the code – the options are text, email or by post. We then sent them their fuel code with instructions on how to retrieve it. They then take this code to the Post office or Paypoint (they will be advised which one) with their plastic key that they use to top-up their meter and the money is credited on to their key which they then put in their meter and it credits immediately.
We have a very substantial budget to award to clients who have a pre-payment meter so lots of referrals would be great. The criteria is less strict so I would encourage your staff to submit applications for as many of their clients as possible. Click here to complete our application:
