Welcome back P5!
We hope you all had a good Easter holiday, even if it was a little different this year.
It was great to see so many completed tasks being emailed to us. We miss seeing you and your work every day, so it is nice to hear from you via email or the form.
You can find the learning grid for this week below. You will see that we have a new activity and resource for maths. It is called White Rose and there’s some more information about it at the bottom of this page. You will find a lesson and follow up activities for each day. Each lesson is a video clip for you to watch and you can download and print off the worksheets to go with them if you want or you could just download the worksheet and then answer the questions in your jotter.
You will still find some maths, spelling and grammar activities on Sumdog to do in addition to your grid.
We look forward to hearing from you this week.
From Miss Hall and Mrs Graham

P5 Learning Conversation Week 3
(Quite) A Few Words About Maths:
Over the next few weeks Primary 5, 6 and 7 are going to be trialling resources created by White Rose Maths. This resource is used in many schools across the country and is particularly useful at this time as it can be easily accessed online and provides teaching videos as well as practise activities.
Each week, we will choose a focus for you from the website. Initially these will focus on revising topics already covered. White Rose Maths is based around the English Year system which progresses differently to the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence, so please don’t worry if the lessons are jumping around within the White Rose website or we’re giving you lessons from different years (e.g. P6 may be given activities from Year 4 or 5).
Each lesson on the site is intended to take 20-30 minutes and has a teaching video and a worksheet. You don’t need to print the worksheet off, you can just write the answers down in your jotter and check them at the end.Don’t worry if you get stuck on some of the Flashback 4 questions as we may not have covered them.
We would really like any feedback from you about the resources so please do add comments into the Learning Conversation form or drop us an email via the school admin address to let us know how you’ve found it.
