Dear P5

Welcome to your second week of learning at home. We hope you’ve settled into a routine. It was so nice to read your feedback on the form and it came as no surprise to us that you loved the baking activity! As such we’ve added in another baking activity this week. It was also great to see some of you posting pictures on Twitter. The downside of all of this is that we’re not getting the usual samples. :(

Below you will find your new home learning grid, your spelling words for this week and the feedback form.  As this week falls a couple of days before the Easter break, these home learning tasks are for the 1st April – 21st April. There will be new learning uploaded on Wednesday 22nd April 2020. You will continue to find maths, spelling and reading challenges on Sumdog. Some of you have mentioned on the feedback form that you are finding some spelling words on Sumdog quite tricky. We set up this challenge so that some were tricky!

Finally a few hints and tips about learning in a new environment.

  • Try to find a quiet space in your house.
  • Use a timer if you need support with your focus.
  • Remove any distractions
  • Play quiet music through headphones
  • Build and maintain a routine
  • Try to work quietly

Remember to fill out the learning form below as we would love to hear from you!

For this week’s writing task you are asked to write a poem. We saw this poem and thought it described how we were feeling, so we wanted to share this with you, P5.

A poem to you from your teacher….
